MIRPURKHAS, Dec 19: Unemployed Young Teachers Committee on Tuesday staged a rally to protest against non-issuance of posting orders to the candidates who had earlier been issued offer letters by the education department.

The rally led by Shahid Hussain and Ubedullah Banglani started from Railway Station Chowk and culminated at Market Chowk.

Mr Hussain and Mr Banglani said that the education department had collected millions of rupees in 2003 by selling job application forms to thousands of jobless youths.

The department took tests and issued 2,050 offer letters to the successful candidates but still they had still not received their posting orders.

They demanded that the president, prime minister, chief minister, governor, education minister and secretary education should ensure issuance of posting orders or be prepared to face a strong protest drive.

UC FUNDS: Adviser to Sindh Chief Minister on Minority Affairs Kishanchand Parwani said on Tuesday that Rs5 million each would be given to the union councils of talukas Hussain Bux Mari, Digri, Jhuddo and Kot Ghulam Mohammed under a special package for development schemes.

Presiding over a meeting he advised elected representatives to propose development schemes of Rs5 million and directed the EDO of works and services to prepare a PC-1 and feasibility report on the schemes within a week.
