NAUSHAHRO FEROZE, Dec 19: Adviser to the Sindh chief minister on agriculture, Ghulam Murtaza Jatoi, inaugurated laying of gas pipeline to Tharushah here on Tuesday.

Speaking on the occasion, he said that he had committed with the residents of Tharushah at the time of local bodies elections that gas line will be laid if they voted for Ali Almani as UC nazim.

The funds for the line, costing Rs82.26 million were arranged both from the chief minister and district government.

Mr Jatoi said his opponents, residents Moledino Lark village, would also enjoy the facility despite the fact that they always voted against us in elections.

The District Nazim, Ghulam Rasool Jatoi, speaking on the occasion said that streets of Tharushah will be constructed with CC blocks.

The General Manager of SSGC, Aftab Memon, said that work of the pipeline will be completed within six months.

SALARY DENIED: The employees of public health engineering department took out a rally to protest against non-payment of their salaries for the last six months, here on Tuesday.

A group of 26 employees led by Abdul Aziz Kalhoro, Banho Khan Ujjan and Wahid Bux, took out a rally from public health office and reached at the Star chowk where they observed a sit-in. They complained that they were not paid their salary since the last six month.

INJURED: A man and his three-year old son were seriously injured in Yousuf Channar village near Tharushah when water tank fell over them on Tuesday.

Abdul Hakeem Channar, reader to TPO Tharushah, and his son Adam 3, were seriously injured when an iron water tank fixed on their house fell upon them. Both the injured were brought to Tharushah hospital but due to serious condition, they were referred to Nawabshah hospital.

KILLED: A youth was killed when his motorcycle collided with a camel cart near Jamali petrol pump, Moro, on Tuesday.

The deceased was identified as Umeed Ali Buriro, a resident of Mubarak Buriro village. No FIR was lodge till the filing of this report.

Meanwhile, three unidentified armed men snatched a motorcycle and cash from one Sikandar Ali near Lundki minor near Moro late on Monday night.
