LONDON, Dec 19: Gold and silver were steady in European business on Tuesday, as dealers watched currency markets in illiquid pre-holiday trading conditions.
Spot gold was quoted at $616.30/616.80 an ounce at 1113 GMT, up slightly from $615.30/616.80 an ounce late in New York on Monday, when it fell to a low of $611.30, its cheapest since November 1.—Reuters
