KARACHI, Dec 19: Berthing activity was slow as only one container ship was accommodated berth at QICT during the last 24 hours, said a PQA press release on Tuesday.

Meanwhile, another ship, MMM Galveston, carrying edible oil also arrived at the outer anchorage.

Berth occupancy was maintained at 60 per cent as six ships, Sinar Bontang, Annie Sierra, Islamabad, Barbara, Pacific Jade and Warbah were busy in loading and unloading containers, rice, seeds and edible oil.

A cargo volume of 60,192 tons comprising 43,329 tons of import and 16,863 tons of export tonnage was handled.

Sailing was active as Sinar Bontang and Warbah left the port.
