LAHORE, Dec 18: The Jamiat Ulema-i-Pakistan on Monday threatened to quit the Muttahida Majlis-i-Amal (MMA) if it failed to resign from the National Assembly after Eidul Azha. Speaking at a meeting of the central executive council, JUP leaders said that their MNAs Dr Abul Khair Mohammad and Dr Fareeda Ahmad would quit the assembly if the MMA delayed resignations. Maulana Ans Noorani presided over the meeting. The meeting said that the MNAs would resign in the first session of the assembly after Eid.—Staff Reporter
