Labour conference today

ISLAMABAD, Dec 18: An All Pakistan Labour Conference will be held at Rawalpindi Press Club, Liaquat Bagh on Tuesday at 10am. The conference aims at devising a plan of action to organise a country-wide movement against all anti-labour laws.

Labour leaders, trade unionists and political activists from all over the country would attend the conference and discuss IRO- 2002, 27-B, Presidential Ordinance 200 and other anti-labourer laws government’s privatisation and downsizing policy; cut in wages, pensions and workers welfare funds; EOBI, contract system, forced termination from service and other issues, said a press release issued by the organisers of the conference here Monday.
