KARACHI, Dec 17: A fabulous evening marked the closing of 6th KaraFilm Festival with announcement of awards for the best films in different categories on Sunday. A large number of foreign delegates and film makers graced the evening with their presence. Huge excitement was seen with the arrival of Indian film industry icons Ajay Devgan and Mahesh Bhatt at the PAF Museum, the venue for the award ceremony.

More than 170 films from 37 countries were screened during the 10-day festival, which ended with good news for the entrants that cash awards will accompany the KaraFilm Ciepie for the best films in each category for the first time as a token of appreciation from the KaraFilm Society.

The director of KaraFilm Festival, Hasan Zaidi, in his brief speech, appreciated the efforts of all those who contributed towards the success of the event.

Besides the performances by some television artists, the Caravan Jazz Quartet with their excellent compositions enthralled the audience comprising foreign delegates, film makers, stars and guests.
