KARACHI: Governor approves several bills


KARACHI, Dec 16: Sindh Governor Dr Ishratul Ibad Khan has given approval to an amendment to the Sindh Government Rules of Business 1986 whereby College Education Management has been declared an attached department.

The Education Manager (Colleges) will now be the head of this attached department while Regional Education Managers (Colleges) will be the heads in Karachi, Hyderabad, Mirpurkhas, Sukkur and Larkana.

In Karachi, all 18 towns will be in the jurisdiction of Karachi Manager.

The governor also approved the Pension Fund Amendment Bill whereby an agreement could be concluded with any insurance company incorporated in Pakistan for arranging pension benefits. Any scheme prepared by the company in this regard could be implemented after the government’s approval.—APP
