Cotton production

ISLAMABAD, Dec 16: Federal Minister for Food, Agriculture & Livestock, Sikandar Hayat Khan Bosan, on Saturday expressed the hope that the production of cotton will cross the target fixed this year.

Although, Pakistan could not meet the target last year due to flood situation.

He stated this while talking to Ambassador of the Union of Myanmar, U. Tin Oo, who called on him here.

The ambassador said Pakistan had made too much development in the field of cotton and sought the help of Pakistan to get good yield of cotton in Myanmar and added “our people should be trained in the Pakistani institutions to keep them abreast of modern technology in this field.”

The minister said that Pakistan would provide all possible help to the concerned officials of Myanmar so that it can get better yield of cotton.—APP
