Furious Sarfraz destroys KRL


KARACHI, Dec 15: Paceman Sarfraz Ahmad grabbed five wickets for Wapda as the Khan Research Laboratory (KRL) were bowled out for 127 on first day of the Patrons Trophy quadrangular round match at the NBP Sports Complex on Friday.

Fiery left-arm bowler Sarfraz took the wickets for 34 runs in 17 overs to dismiss KRL in 55.4 overs as they elected to bat first.

Kashif Raza claimed three wickets for 29 runs in 14 overs.

Mohtashim Ali was the only prominent scorer with 47 for the KRL. He hit five boundaries and batted for 197 minutes.

At the end of the day’s play, Wapda scored 58 runs without loss.

KRL (1st innings) 127 all out in 55.4 overs (Mohtashim Ali 47; Sarfraz Ahmed 5-17, Kashif Raza 3-11).
