MARDAN, Dec 15: NWFP Minister for Food, Excise and Taxation Fazli Rabbani inaugurated surgical and medical wards at the Mardan Medical Complex on Friday. District Nazim Himayatullah Mayar was present on the occasion.

Speaking on the occasion, Fazli Rabbani urged the doctors to serve the ailing humanity with dedication and provide maximum help to patients.

He said that the MMA government was giving importance to improving health facilities and category “A” hospitals were being set up in all districts so that people could get medical facilities at their doorstep.

The nazim said that health and education were a top priority of the district government and many steps had been taken to strengthen the two sectors.

He said that a commercial plaza would be constructed in the Mardan Medical Complex and the income generated from it would be spent on the improvement of health facilities in the complex.
