GCCI raps increase in CNG price

GUJRANWALA, Dec 15: The local chamber of commerce and industry resented an increase in CNG prices by dealers association without an official notification. At a meeting chaired by chamber president Rana Shehzad Hafeez here on Friday, participants said that Rs2.95 had been enhanced in the CNG price which was unjust. They demanded that the government should hold an inquiry into the enhancement of CNG prices.

SHOT DEAD: A bus security guard was shot dead by unidentified assailants in Satellite Town here on Friday.

Reports said that deceased Abdul Shakoor of Chakwal was on his way home after duty when assailants opened fire on him near Popular Nursery. He died on the spot.

WARNING: Additional IG Malik Muhammad Iqbal said that action would be taken against the DSP, the SHO and the beat officer concerned if aerial firing in marriage ceremonies occurred in their respective areas. At a meeting held here on Friday, the additional IG urged police officers to arrest the violators immediately.

TWO DIE: Two youths died after taking poisonous liquor in Rahwali on Friday.

Afzal and Ashraf of Pero Shaheed fainted soon after taking the liquor and died while being taken to the local DHQ Hospital.
