ADB to help in Balochistan water projects

By Our Staff Correspondent

QUETTA, Dec 14: The Asian Development Bank will assist the Balochistan government in developing underground water resources. ADB Country Director Peter Fedon said during a meeting with Balochistan Governor Owais Ahmed Ghani here on Thursday. “Private-public partnership will be encouraged in the province in different sectors,” said Mr Fedon.

He said the bank would help the Balochistan government in various fields.

The governor informed the ADB official that the government had launched a project to promote a modern irrigation system, including trickle irrigation.
