Nato troops kill Afghan

KANDAHAR, Dec 13: North Atlantic Treaty Organisation troops in Afghanistan killed a civilian motorcyclist who failed to stop at a checkpoint during a visit to Kandahar by President Hamid Karzai, the force said on Wednesday.

Afghan police took the man to a hospital where he was pronounced dead, it said.

The Nato said it regretted the loss of civilian life. President Karzai has advised Afghans to stay away from Nato convoys.—AFP
