ISLAMABAD, Dec 13: Defending champions Pakistan defeated Australia by ten wickets at the F-9 Park on Wednesday to reach the final of the third Cricket World Cup for the Blind.

Pakistan won the toss and decided to field first.

Australia were all out for 99 in 29.3 overs. Five of their batsmen were out while taking runs.

Abdul Razzaq and Aamir Ashfaq captured two wickets each.

For Australia, Nick Hider was top-scorer with 28 while Robinson scored 17.

Pakistan achieved the target of 100 runs in 17.5 overs.

Mohammad Fayyaz hammered 65 not out to play a key role in the victory and won the man-of-the-match award.

Noor Qureshi contributed with 26 not out runs.

Pakistan also achieved the distinction of reaching the final of all three editions of the Blind World Cup.

India and England will figure in the second semi-final at the Pindi Cricket Stadium on Thursday. The final will be played on Saturday.—APP
