QUETTA, Dec 13: The Ambassador of Japan to Pakistan, Mr. Seiji Kojima, has underlined the need for enhancing quantum of trade between Pakistan and Japan, which was not enough presently.

Speaking to members of the BCCI, he said that efforts were under way for increasing trade between both the countries.

He said Balochistan has potential in various fields and there were ample of opportunities for working in different sectors. He said that this province was rich in minerals sectors and through exploring and utilizing natural resources, Balochistan could be developed in all fields.

"I see great future of Balochistan with utilizing natural resources," the Ambassador of Japan said, adding his country was working in two projects in this province that include lying of Dadu-Khuzdar power transmission line and construction of Waddh-Karoro section of RCD highway.

Referring to the volume of trade between Pakistan and Japan, he said it was not enough and needed more efforts for increasing trade between both the countries.

The Japanese envoy, while replying questions during his meeting with members of BCCI, asked them to play their role in enhancing trade between both the countries.

About difficulties in obtaining Japanese visa, he said that the Japanese government was making visa process easier.

"We are extending visa to the people of Pakistan more than European countries," Mr Seiji Kojima said, adding his country would continue extending all possible help and cooperation for speedy development of Balochistan.
