MANILA, Dec 13: A senior Asian Development Bank official has urged China to spend more on social services as a way of redressing global payments imbalances, the Philippines-based lender said on Wednesday. ADB vice president Lawrence Greenwood called for less Chinese investment in support of manufacturing and more in human capital, particularly rural development, health and education, social security, environmental improvement and poverty reduction.—AFP
