KARACHI: Waterlines in Lyari

By Our Staff Reporter

KARACHI, Dec 12: The Baloch Rights Council condemned the government’s decision that Lyari would be supplied water through pipelines, which will be passing through Lyari River, under K-III project saying that this would pollute the water.

A press release issued by the BRC termed it a conspiracy against inhabitants of Lyari who would be provided polluted water. The council said there was no justification of laying down the water pipelines through the river which had already turned into a sewage drain. This would ultimately result in wastage of billion of rupees, the council said.
