Zulfiqar, Saeed put KRL on top

KARACHI, Dec 11: Zulfiqar Jan and Saeed Anwar Junior hammered fine centuries as KRL posted 407 in their first innings on day two of their Patron’s Trophy Cricket Championship quadrangular match against ZTBL at the UBL Sports Complex on Monday.

ZTBL, in reply, were 151 for three in their first innings. Opener Afaq Raheem (68, 11 boundaries) and Faisal Naveed (8) were at the crease at close of play.

The 27-year-old Zulfiqar clubbed 13 fours in his 278-minute knock of exactly 100 and the left-handed Saeed Anwar banged 19 boundaries and a six in 284 minutes batting while making 130.
