Bank accused of flouting PM’s waiver order

SANGHAR, Dec 11: Members of the taluka council have urged the government to clarify the position regarding recovery of agricultural loans in the calamity-hit areas. Raza Mohammad Khaskheli and Ghulam Murtaza Shar said in the taluka council meeting on Monday that prime minister had announced waiver of agricultural loans in calamity-hit talukas including Sinjhoro, Sanghar, Khipro, Jam Nawaz Ali, but the bank officials were forcing the farmers to pay the loan in the absence of any notification in this regard.

SUICIDE: A man, Aarib Khaskheli, committed suicide by consuming pesticide in Kanhar village on Monday.
