Jeweller, others robbed in Pindi

RAWALPINDI, Dec 10: Robbers and thieves struck at six different places in the city making off with Rs480,000 in cash, jewellery, cellphones and three vehicles during the last 24 hours, police said.

Muhammad Rehan complained to the New Town police that three men took him at gunpoint after entering his medical store and made away with Rs30,000 in cash and a cellphone.

Muhammad Irfan, a resident of Dhoke Khabba, told Waris Khan police that four robbers broke into his house and escaped with Rs250,000 in cash and seven cellphones.

A gang of three robbers entered a jewellery shop in Kartar Pura in the jurisdiction of Banni police and took Muhammad Altaf at gunpoint. The robbers deprived him of Rs200,000 in cash, eight tolas of silver and 10 tolas of gold.

Meanwhile, Jameel Ahmed’s car was stolen from Saddar, Abdul Salam’s car was lifted from Cantonment area and Tahir Kamran’s motorbike was stolen from Banni area.
