A message from the KU Vice-Chancellor, Dr Pirzada Qasim, read out during the event said: “Corruption and progress can never go together anywhere in the world, and all sectors of society must go hand in hand to eliminate corruption for the sake of generations of today and future.”

Chairpersons and professors of various departments, including Prof Abdullah Qadri, Prof S. Humayun, Prof Talat Wizarat, Prof Tanveer Khalid and Prof Fateh Mohammad Burfat, as well as a large number of students participated in the discussion that laid stress on accountability, transparency and self-assessment on individual and organisation levels.

The participants also emphasised on a check on misuse of authority and powers in the entire social, political and government infrastructure; prevalence of law without distinction of social, political and other concerns; and availability of justice to common man at all levels.

It was further said that parents, teachers, religious scholars and politicians should realise their responsibilities towards eradicating corruption from the society.
