KARACHI, Dec 9: Five vessels carrying containers and crude oil are due to arrive at the outer anchorage on Sunday, according to KPT sources.

Berthing activity at the wharves was slow where three ships, Bunga Kenari to unload and load containers, Le Ye and Iron Butterfly to offload and load general cargo were berthed after the departure of two.

The ships, which departed included Mega-2 and George, while Pattaya Navee, Le Ye, Iron Butterfly, Evgenia, Bunga Kenari, Wakato, Oel Aishwarya and Ju Fu Men are due to sail out on Sunday.

Cargo handling was on the lower side as the total tonnage fell to 40,403 tons comprising 5,041 tons of export cargo including 4,627 tons of clinker and 35,362 tons of import tonnage.

The following ships are due on Sunday: Swat with crude oil, Pu He, Amasia, Jade-C and Gallant Wave with containers.
