Terror plan foiled in US

By Our Correspondent

WASHINGTON, Dec 8: A man was arrested in Chicago on Friday for allegedly plotting to attack Rockford in Illinois state over Christmas holidays, reports NBC News.

The report quoted a US official as saying that the alleged terror plan involved a bombing and a shooting.

The man has no accomplices and is not part of a terrorist cell.

A court appearance scheduled for 12:45pm ET was delayed, officials said. They did not say when it was going to be held.
