KARACHI: Karachi’s problems at WEF moot

KARACHI, Dec 8: City Nazim Mustafa Kamal will attend the forthcoming World Economic Forum (WEF) meeting in Davos to discuss the problems of Karachi. The city is included in the list of 25 mega cities of the world on which a report will be presented.

A public research report will be presented in the WEF to be held between January 24 to 26, highlighting problems of 25 mega cities. The report ha s been compiled by Siemens A.G., and the company’s Chief Executive Officer and President Klaus Kleinfeld will discuss the findings with the mayors of 13 cities including Nazim Karachi.

A letter from Mr Kleinfeld inviting the City Nazim was presented the other day by a team of Siemens Pakistan which was accepted by the nazim.

The research in Karachi was conducted independently by a research firm in Germany M/s and consisted of a survey with top planners, implementers and those influencing these processes.
