WASHINGTON, Dec 8: Jeane Kirkpatrick, a former US ambassador to the United Nations, has died at the age of 80, the think-tank where she was a senior fellow announced on Friday.
Kirkpatrick, who was the first woman US envoy to the UN and who held the post from 1981 to 1985, during president Ronald Reagan’s administration, died on Thursday, the American Enterprise Institute said.—AFP
