Leaking gas kills woman, infant

QUETTA, Dec 7: A woman and her infant son were suffocated by gas leaking from a heater in Ghafoor Town here on Thursday. According to police sources, Mohammad Naseer had rented the house only two days ago.

His wife went to bed along with his son and younger brother without switching off the gas heater.

Naseer, who came home in the morning after night duty, found wife Ayshia Iqbal and one-month-old son Mahzeb dead.

The younger brother of the woman, identified as Faisal, was unconscious.

Police took them to the civil hospital where doctors confirmed death of Ayshia and her son.

The condition of Faisal was stated to be serious.
