KARACHI, Dec 7: At least 18 fishermen were saved by the Maritime Security Agency near Gwadar. According to a MSA report, its Gwadar base rescued the fishermen from two sinking boats Gul-i-Naveed and Al-Nasir which were spotted by its patrolling staff who provided emergency help and brought them safely to the jetty.

One boat was leaving for fishing in the open sea while the other one was coming to Gwadar after fishing. Both boats were sinking due to engine failure.

A third vessel, Sea Crest, a trawler owned by Marine International Company at Gwadar was also rescued by the MSA staff based at Gwadar.
