KARACHI, Dec 7: Parents of a teenaged girl, alleging that their child has been kidnapped by their neighbours, have urged the authorities to direct the police to recover their child and take action against the kidnapers.

Radha, wife of Papu, a resident of H – 12 Pakistan Marine Academy, Mauripur, said that her daughter, Komal, 16, went to meet her friend and class fellow Aisha, who lives in the neighbourhood, on November 15 and had since gone missing.

She alleged that her daughter had been kidnapped by their neighbour Iqbal. She said that an FIR 272/06 had been registered at Mauripur Police Station, but her daughter had not yet been recovered and the alleged kidnapper, who had support of influential people, was still roaming around freely.

According to Radha, she and her husband, Papu, both were poor sanitary workers so the police was not taking any action against the kidnappers.

She has urged the authorities to help her recover her daughter and kidnappers and their supporters, who are officials of the Pakistan Marine Academy, be taken to task.
