KHAAR: Three children killed in rain-related incidents

KHAAR (Bajaur Agency), Dec 6: Three children were killed and four people injured in different parts of Bajaur Agency in incidents that might be linked to heavy rains. Uzma and Salma, daughters of Mohammad Rasool, died in the Sikandaro village, 10 kilometres from here, when the roof of their house collapsed. Three other family members were injured.

Meanwhile, Akbar Khan, 12, was killed in the Barang tehsil when the roof of the room he was sleeping in caved in. His mother was also injured.

Routine life came to a grinding halt as roads and low-lying areas were submerged in rainwater. Snowfall in the mountains on Monday night lowered the temperature. Heavy rains have continued to lash the area for the past three days.—Correspondent
