PESHAWAR, Dec 6: NWFP Health Minister Inayatullah Khan on Wednesday directed officials to immediately start work on 350-bed hospital in Nowshera district. He was presiding over a meeting held here to review the construction of a category-A hospital in Nowshera and upgradation of the Pabbi Hospital.

The deputy director of the works and services department briefed the meeting about the projects and said that civil work for upgrading the Satellite Hospital, Pabbi, to category-C had already started.

The minister directed the authorities concerned to complete all formalities of the project on emergency basis and said that another meeting would be convened within 10 days to review the project’s pace.

Ecnec has already approved a project for the establishment of the hospital, which is expected to cost Rs917 million, shared by the federal government and provincial government on 50:50 basis.—APP
