Dollar higher


LONDON, Dec 6: The dollar got a temporary lift against the euro here on Wednesday on a survey suggesting that US job creation in November will be shown to have been stronger than predicted. The single European currency in late-day trade was at $1.3306, down from $1.3317 late Tuesday in New York. But the euro at one point fell to $1.3256 before recovering.

The dollar was meanwhile at 115.06 after 114.97 on Tuesday.

On the London Bullion Market, the price of gold fell to $636 per ounce from $645.90 late on Tuesday.—AFP
