Rains to continue

ISLAMABAD, Dec 4: The Meteorological Department on Monday said that the strong westerly weather system which was producing widespread rains in most parts of the country and moderate snow over the mountains would continue for another day over Punjab and North West Frontier Province (NWFP).

According to the Met Office, Karachi received 51mm rainfall in last 24 hours, Rawalakot 45mm, Garidupata 40mm, Rawalpindi 38mm, Nawabshah 36mm, Peshawar 27mm, Parachinar 26mm, Dir 23mm, Sibbi 22mm, Khuzdar 27mm, Muzaffarabad 22mm, Islamabad 17mm, Murree 19mm, RY Khan 17mm, Khanpur 14mm, Quetta 12mm, Hyderabad 18mm, Chitral 17mm, MB Din 13mm, Jhelum 12mm and Lahore 04mm.
