KARACHI: Rain-related incidents claim seven lives

KARACHI, Dec 4: At least seven persons died in rain-related incidents since Sunday night. Hospital sources said at least four persons died from electrocution.

Twelve-year-old Kashif was playing in a street during the downpour when a snap wire claimed his life in Akhtar Colony.

His body was shifted to the Jinnah hospital.

A pedestrian, Abdul Razzak, 60, was electrocuted by a snap wire near Bank Al Falah on I.I. Chundrigar Road.

In Defence, a security guard posted at a club died from electrocution.

In Kharadar, an employee of KESC was fixing an electric wire when he got electrocuted.

Seven-year-old Mahvish died and her father and uncle were injured when the roof of their house collapsed in Akhtar Colony early Monday morning.

After removing the debris, people shifted the body and injured to Jinnah hospital.

In Eidgah and Risala, two vagabonds died of cold early Monday morning.

The bodies were shifted to the Civil Hospital. Doctors said apparently both had died of cold.
