Boy killed in Nushki blast

By Our Staff Correspondent

QUETTA, Dec 2: A boy was killed and three other people were injured when a bomb exploded in Nushki, some 160km southwest of here, on Saturday. Police sources said the powerful bomb had been planted on an electricity pylon 200 yards away from the fort of the Chagai Militia, a wing of the Frontier Corps, on the Mess Road.

Seventeen-year-old Mohammad Younus Baloch was killed in the blast.

Senior police officer Arif Mengal said it was a home-made bomb. Walls of a house were destroyed in the blast and windowpanes of many other houses were smashed.

The injured — Hidayatall

Baloch, Arif Masieh and Salahuddin — were taken to the

Civil Hospital where the condition of Hidayatall is said to be serious.

Power supply to half of the town was disrupted because the pylon was destroyed in the blast.
