ISLAMABAD Dec 2: Women parliamentarians from the Muttahida Majlis-i-Amal (MMA) plan to hold a rally outside Faisal Mosque on Monday to protest the enactment of Protection of Women Rights Bill.

Speaking at a news conference at Rawalpindi-Islamabad Press Club camp office here on Saturday, Senator Dr Firdaus announced that 20,000 women drawn from Punjab, the NWFP and elsewhere would participate in the rally to show their resentment over the enactment of a law which was in total violation of Holy Quran and Sunnah.

She said the rally would be addressed by MMA President Qazi Hussain Ahmed and other alliance leaders and would reinforce women’s will to confront the regime which was working on foreign agenda.—Staff Reporter
