KARACHI, Dec 2: Nine ships carrying containers, rock phosphate and to load clinkers and molasses are due to arrive at the outer anchorage on Sunday, according to KPT sources.

Berthing activity at the wharves was active where six ships, Lalazar, to unload crude oil, Orient Independence, Bunga Delima, Y.M. Star, and Soon Fu, to unload and load containers, and Lady Kyriaki, to unload and load general cargo were berthed.

Three ships, Eric G. Gibson, Shakhtar and Induruwa Valley departed on Saturday, while Bunga Delima, Y.M. Star, Orient Independence, Histria Ivory, Trans Atlantic and Lalazar are due to sail out on Sunday.

Cargo handling activity at the wharves showed a modest improvement as the total tonnage rose to 92,069 tons comprising 20,953 tons of export cargo including 2,69 tons of rice and 71,116 tons of import tonnage.

The following ships are due on Sunday: Al-Kortoubi, to load 17,000 tons of molasses, Iran Tabatabaei, Iran Baabaei, Westermoor, Corin Thaikos, Kota Permai, with containers, Pan Dynamic, with rock phosphate, George, to load 27,285 tons of clinkers, and Iran Butterfly, to offload project cargo.

The following are Monday’s arrivals: Nantor, with 40,289 tons of DAP fertiliser, Mega-2 and Tai He, with containers.
