Mild tremors in north


PESHAWAR, Dec 1: A mild tremor of 5.1 magnitude on the Richter scale jolted Peshawar, Islamabad and other neighbouring parts of the country at 6:12pm on Friday.

According to the Met office, the intensity of the earthquake was moderate and its origin was some 300 kilometres north of Peshawar in Hindukush Range.

A private TV channel reported that tremors were also felt in Tarbela, Ghazi and Attock.

No damage or loss of human life was reported in any part of the area till the filing of this report.—Bureau
