Kisan moot
LAHORE, Dec 1: The Pakistan Kisan Rabita Committee will organise a Pakistan Kisan Conference at the Minar-i-Pakistan on Feb 4 to protest against anti-farmer policies of the government.
A decision to this effect was taken at a meeting of the committee held here on Friday with Chaudhry Fateh Mohammad in the chair. Committee secretary Farooq Tariq said the government had levied 15 per cent sales tax on seed, fertilizers and pesticides on the one hand and lifted price control on the produce on the directions of the Asian Development Bank. — Reporter
