SHIKARPUR, Nov 30: Activists of the Aurat Foundation took out a rally here on Thursday in protest against the murder of four innocent women of a family in Abdoo village in the jurisdiction of Chak police station on Wednesday.

The rally was led by district coordinator Jawad Ahmed Soomro, Ms Rubina Shaikh, Rukhsana Soomro, Baby Subhan, Shazia Memon, Farzana Memon, Najma Zafar Mangi, Nadir Baloch, Tasleem Memon and others.

The protesters, after marching on main roads, reached outside the press club where they staged a demonstration. Speaking on the occasion, they condemned the murder of the women and demanded of the Sindh chief minister, the PPO and the RPO of Sukkur to take notice of the incident and arrest the culprits.

ARRESTED: The Shikarpur police claimed to have arrested two notorious bandits from bypass link road and Sindh canal bridge. They were identified as Ghous Bux alias Ghosoo Shar and Qurban Ali alias Qurboo Jeho.
