HYDERABAD: Hospital’s foundation

HYDERABAD, Nov 30: District Nazim Kanwar Naveed Jamil on Thursday laid the foundation of a 20-bed hospital in the American Quarters area of the city.

The hospital is being constructed at a cost of Rs13 million and start functioning in May 2007.

Speaking on the occasion, he said that within a period of 14 months, the district government had undertaken water, sewerage, health and education projects worth tens of millions of rupees in Hali Road and American Quarters areas.

He said that the area had been neglected by every government during the last 60 years and the people had been deprived of even basic facilities like clean drinking water, sewerage system, roads, health and education.

He said that the district government was giving a top priority to development of hitherto neglected areas of the district.

He said that the hospital would provide medical facilities to residents of Hali Road, American Quarters, Gujrati Paro and other adjoining localities.
