KARACHI, Nov 29: The Pakistan Cricket Board has hired the services of former Pakistan fast bowler Aaqib Javed to work on the suspect bowling action of players in the domestic cricket.

Aaqib, while talking to reporters here at the National Stadium on Wednesday, confirmed that his assignment which commences from next year entails correcting bowlers' action besides training the upcoming fast bowlers in the country.“Pakistan is facing serious problem because of players' suspected bowling actions,” said Aaqib. “I will be focusing on correcting their actions to save them from such dire consequences which were faced by Shabbir Ahmed recently.”

Aaqib, who captured 182 Test wickets in 54 Test has been hired by the PCB after as many as 41 bowlers were reported for suspect bowling action in the current domestic season. — Agencies
