MUMBAI, Nov 28: Designated Tada court on Tuesday found actor Sanjay Dutt guilty of possessing arms under the Arms Act. He could face a jail term.

However, Judge Pramod Kode acquitted him of criminal conspiracy of abetting to terrorism. Dutt, 47, had been free on bail after he spent 18 months in jail following his arrest in 1993. His lawyers have filed a bail application.

Meanwhile, Zebunisa Kazi and Somnath Thapa, Additional Commissioner Customs, (preventive), were found guilty under Section 3 (3) of the Tada Act and 120 (B) of IPC for conspiracy.

Wearing a checked shirt and denim jeans, the 47-year-old actor arrived along with some of his Bollywood colleagues and family members at the court in Arthur Road jail amid tight security as media persons jostled to catch a glimpse of him.—PPI
