Hasnain excels in team’s victory

LAHORE, Nov 27: Fine performance by Ali Hasnain and Bilal Haider Agha helped Technimen win both matches of two chukkers each on the opening day of Toyo Nasic Polo Cup on Monday.

Ali Hasnain scored all four to help Technimen beat Indios 4 1/2-2. The winners had half-goal handicap. For the losers Irfan Sheikh and Ahmed Ali Tiwana scored one each.

Bilal Haider Agha scored two to help Technimen defeat Limited Editions 3 1/2-3. Ali Hussain also scored one while half-goal was the handicap.

For the losers, Asif Tiwana (2) and Tanvir Tariq (1) reduced the margin.

In other two chukker matches, Adisseo outclassed 4x4 by an impressive margin of 4- 1 1/2. Usman Haye (2) and Junaid Ahmad and Ibrahim Pataudi scored one each. Bilal Haye scored the solitary goal for the losers, who had half-goal handicap.

4x4, however, earned a big margin 3 1/2-0 win against Izhar Constructions. Babar Monnoo (2) and Sameer Habib Oberoi (1) were the scorers while half-goal was the handicap.

Hattaf Securities won and lost one match each. They registered an excellent 4-0 win against Guard Group/Harvesters with Agha Murtaza Ali Khan and Hassan Ali Farrukh scoring two goals each.

Hattaf, however, lost to Artex 3 1/2-3. Feroze Gulzar, Ali Malik and Kamran Nooruddin scored one each for the winners, who had half goal-handicap. Agha Murtaza Ali Khan, Hassan Ali Farrukh and Aslam scored for the losers.

Artex also won second match, beating Guard Group/Harvesters 4 1/2-2 with Ali Malik (2), Feroze Gulzar and Kamran Nooruddin scored one each.

Half goal was the handicap. Taimur Ali Malik and Ali Hashim Rizvi banged home for the losers.
