Khanewal to have three more colleges

MULTAN, Nov 27: The Punjab government will establish in Khenewal district three new degree colleges (two for girls and one for boys), besides a stadium. The announcement was made by Chief Minister Pervez Elahi in his address to a public meeting in Model High School, Khanewal, on Monday. He also announced 20 new middle schools and hostels for girls colleges in four tehsils of the district besides five buses. For the Khanewal Stadium, he promised Rs50 million.

The chief minister also promised a railway underpass, Darul Aman, and gas for the Industrial Estate Area. He said problems of Seed Corporation mazareen would be addressed and hurdles in way of Cow Research Centre at Jahangirabad Capital Farm would also be removed. Jehanian tehsil nazim Karamdad Wahla, who belongs to PPP, announced joining the ruling party. — Correspondent
