KARACHI, Nov 27: A single bench of the Sindh High Court comprising Justice Sarmad Jalal Osmany on Monday adjourned the proceedings till December 4 in a contempt of court plea seeking directives for the alleged contemnor to tender an apology.

Advocate Nasir Rizwan Khan was allegedly manhandled by Aman and Muhammad Sajid on the SHC premises.

In pursuance of the application moved by Nasir Rizwan Khan, a contempt of court notice was issued by the SHC chief justice.

When the matter came up for hearing, the accused submitted a written apology before the bench. But Advocate Nasir Rizwan submitted that the accused tender an apology publicly.

The policemen who were also cited as alleged contemnors in the case had already been granted pardon by the court.—APP
