KARACHI: Intermediate Part-I results announced

KARACHI, Nov 27: The Board of Intermediate Education Karachi announced the results of Higher Secondary School Certificate (HSSC) Part-I Annual Examinations 2006 for pre-engineering and science general groups on Monday.

Of 20,547 candidates, including 5,554 girls, appeared in the pre-engineering exam, 7,683 candidates, including 2,367 girls, cleared all papers. Result of 66 boys and 27 girls of pre-engineering group were withheld for want of necessary documents or on account of resorting to use of unfair means in exams, said a BIEK notification.

In the science general group, of 1,534 candidates, including 755 girls, appeared in the exam 300 passed all six papers. Results of 27 candidates were withheld for want of correct information or on account of reported use of unfair means in exams.

SSC-I MARKS SHEETS: The marks sheets of SSC Science part-I annual exams, 2006, will be handed over to secondary schools concerned from November 30 onwards, said a Board of Secondary Education notification on Monday.

The board has issued the schedule for delivery of marks sheets to schools as follows:

Schools falling in the jurisdictions of New Karachi, North Nazimabad, Gulberg and Liaquatabad towns on November 30; Keamari, SITE, Baldia and Orangi towns on December 1; Lyari and Saddar towns on December 2; Malir, Bin Qasim and Gadap towns on December 4; Jamshed, Gulshan, Shah Faisal, Landhi and Korangi towns on December 5.

The board has asked the heads of recognised secondary schools to send their representatives with authority letters to collect the marks sheets from the conference hall of the board between 9.30am to 4pm.
