CEO for Smeda

By Our Staff Reporter

KARACHI, Nov 27: The Union of Small and Medium Enterprises (Unisame) has urged the government to appoint a chief executive officer for the Smeda from the private sector in order to make the body more pragmatic and realistic towards SMEs issues.

Unisame President Zulfikar Thaver, while appreciating the services of outgoing CEO Shahab Khawaja who has been appointed as federal secretary, ministry of industries and production, said that Smeda now needed a private sector leadership as bureaucrat could not grasp grass root issues confronting the SMEs.
