PML-N in contact with parties for APC

ISLAMABAD, Nov 26: The PML-N has started consultative process for convening an All Parties Conference on the issues of resignations and anti-government campaign.

PML-N Secretary General Iqbal Zafar Jhagra said on Sunday that the All Parties Conference would be held in London.

He said the leadership of PML-N and PPP-P would participate in the All Parties Conference. “We have started to contact other parties. As soon as this process concludes, the date for calling the All Parties Conference will be announced,” he added.

He said: “It is our endeavour that the decisions on the matters of resignations and anti-government movement are taken in the All Parties Conference.”

Moreover, the PML-N has called a high-level consultative meeting in London on December 4 to discuss matters related to preparations for the next general elections and anti-government movement.

PML-N chief Mian Nawaz Sharif and president Mian Shahbaz Sharif will preside over the meeting.

PML-N members of national and provincial assemblies, senators and district coordinators will participate in the meeting. Party district coordinators from Punjab will present a report from December 4-8 on prospective potential candidates of the party for the next general elections.

A meeting of PML-N provincial assemblies’ members will be held on December 9. Senators and members of the National Assembly will meet on December 10.

Meeting of district coordinators from Sindh and Balochistan will take place on December 11-12 and district coordinators from the NWFP will meet on December 14-15.

PML-N will devise a strategy for the upcoming general elections besides taking important decisions to launch the anti government movement.—Online
