KHAIRPUR, Nov 26: Former district nazim Nafisa Shah has demanded the setting up of an impartial team to monitor schemes being executed in the health department and under the citizens community boards.
Talking to party activists and citizens on Saturday evening, she said that due to inefficiency and complaints, the provincial government was not releasing funds to the district government for the projects.
She said that the district government had miserably failed to provide basic facilities to the people.
Ms Shah said that funds were sanctioned for Khairpur Internet Service during her tenure but the service could not be started as yet. The former nazim alleged that hospitals in the district were facing shortage of medicine, and as a result, patients were purchasing medicines from private medical stores.
Referring to CCBs functioning, she said those, who had registered personal schemes, were appointed as chairman of certain CCBs.
